The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it is actually alarmed about the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the SRD lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service level designed for intervention ordeals a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to empower the servicing of all shoppers and maximize use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
